Mark and Becki / Dean and Dean
Mark and Becki both hail from strong musical families. Now they have joined together to become the powerhouse duo Dean and Dean.

Mark was born in Riverside, California, in the 50's and grew up during the onset of the music revolution leading into the unforgettable sixties and seventies. Both Mark and his older brother Wayne longed to play guitar. Their parents quickly signed them up for lessons. However, neither young was interested in learning where or why those shaped notes were on a page. They longed for the music of the great Merle Haggard, Porter Wagoner, and the great Hank Williams.
Soon their influences changed to that of Stevie Ray Vaughn, and the pop/rock era. Though they longed for the big stage and dreamed of the Grand Ole Opry, Mark never got too far away from those original country and gospel roots.

While Mark's brother went on to experience songwriting success in Nashville, Mark chose to raise a family and own a large construction company.
After his children were grown, he experienced a near-fatal heart attack. Mark then returned to performing his beloved music in Branson, MO where he was a guest on the majority of the shows in Branson. Going on to have his own show at the Treasure Lake Resort. Mark won many awards while in Branson, Gospel Vocalist of the year 7 years running. He was songwriter of the year and enjoyed the success of his number-one song Angel Wings.

Mark enjoyed opening shows for such groundbreaking artists as Leona Williams, Barbara Fairchild, Ray Price, Billy Dean, and countless others. Becoming close friends with greats such as Bill Monroe, Cal Smith, Jeannie C Riley, and others has played a huge role in Mark's present life.

It was during this time of Mark's life. He met a young lady from Texas, little did he know at that time. This young lady would one day become his wife and his singing and songwriting partner.

Becki was born in Arizona and raised in a single-parent home, as a result of her mother working to keep food on the table. Becki spent much of her time with her grandparents. As a result, Becki was exposed to the music of her grandparent's families. The McGuire Sisters and their solid harmony right to the famed queen of country, Loretta Lynn.

Becki's grandfather dreamed of Becki keeping the family roots firmly planted in Country music. So he would take Becki frequently to Nashville and have her sing at the Ernest Tubb record shop, trying to bring attention to her young vocal ability.

It was through those times that Becki was introduced to Mr. Chet Atkins, Charlie Pride (a rising star himself), Buck Owens (who later became a family friend), and Roy Clark.

After the death of Becki's grandparents. Becki felt she no longer had musical support, and though she continued to sing at local fairs and events, she turned away from having big musical dreams.

God had other plans! After Becki and Mark met, they began to travel the Gospel music circuit. Providing listeners with a two-for-one concert experience.

They experienced the ups and downs of life and music together. Yet neither had the desire to begin a relationship with the other. (due to past relationship experiences). Yet again we say God had other plans.

In 2017 Mark and Becki married. By this time they had written over 200 songs together. Finally, in 2022, Mark and Becki decided that maybe they should truly join the musical forces and become a duo.

In 2023, while at Loretta Lynn's ranch, they were blessed to meet Mr. Paul Seacord with Godsey Media Management. After prayer and consideration, they decided to utilize the expertise that Paul had to offer, to create the new duo Dean and Dean. They have now recorded several songs with Paul Seacord and the Godsey Media Management team. Recording at the legendary Hill Top Studio in Nashville TN. Where some of the greatest singers in both the Country Music and Gospel Music industries have recorded.

The Reason They Sing
Both Mark and Becki have a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ. As a result of their individual relationships. They both know that everything in their lives is because of Christ. Therefore they give all the praise and Glory directly to him. They share their testimonies of what God has done for them, and share Jesus through their songs. Wheather they are singing family country or are singing Gospel. Christ is the reason for it all.

Vision
Dean and Dean's goal is to share hope through music and word. They long to help people through life experiences and the healing power of music. This is why many of their concerts are held in prisons, nursing homes, churches, at fairs, and city events rather than in your traditional music arenas. This is not to say you will not see them in a colosseum, or other large event arena because you will. Yet will remain their passion to see individual lives touched in intimate settings.
